Anyone tested this ??
Reason is I dont know if doing the Oettinger one (S3) or this, mianly reason is that the forge 1 is much more easy to install, I am not happy to remove the front panel of my new ED30 to install the Oettinger intercooler
Anyone ?

The Oettinger intercooler is basically a more expensive version of the S3 intercooler. The S3 intercooler would be cheaper and just as easy to fit to the ED30. The Forge intercooler I thought was called a Twintercooler and strapped on to the front of the existing intercooler. The Forge one isn't compatible with the DSG model. I thought that you had to remove the front to install either :undecided:

Here is a guy on Seatcupra.net who has fitted the S3 to kis car straight bolt on 5hrs.

and some blurb on forge's version

I am currently waiting on a price for the s3 version along with 2 others.

To install the Forge 1 you just need to remove bumper not complete front panel.
I am a bit annoyed in removing the front panel of a new car to put in the Oettinger/S3 intercooler
Dont know ywt :embarassed:

I was over at Awesome yesterday and they were carrying out stage 3 upgrade on a couple of cars. One had the front off and had the APR Intercooloer which fitted beautifully into position on all the original mounts etc and looked

I second what Hurdy says the APR intercooler looks smashin and is huge but looks factory fit and utilises all the factory mounts, pass me my wallet

I love the quality of Forge stuff and their service is second to none however on this occasion I have some concerns that the Y pipe on the twintercooler could be a little restrictive.
I love the look of the APR one but I think the S3 unit would be a good alternative to retain the OEM look.
