Title: alternators + cam + k&n

can i fit a mk 2 1990 8v alternator to my 1990 mk 2 1.6 driver with out any problems, i.e battery exploding??
also wot abt the cam will that also slot in ok??
also will the k&n bolt on filter for a pierburg 2e2 fit on the webber replacement carb??  ??? ??? ??? ??? cheers

Hi rik.
Alternator will fit no problem, wont blow up battery as the voltage regulator will look after the charge rate.
Cam will also fit, change the timing belt and tensioner while you are there.
Filter should also be OK if the Webber is a direct replacement for the pierburg.

thanks steve just wot i wanted to hear, i will be doing the belt and tensioner at the weekend which is why i asked abt the rest..
not sure abt the webber was on the car when i got it so i think its a direct replacement

If the standard 1.6 airbox fits without modification then the K&N filter will too :)
