Title: How much would you pay!
Post by: 08micsta on 07 March 2008, 18:58
To have your car fully detailed? Inside and out. Im lookin at going into that industry and am considering fees etc. Obviously judging from our gti the end products is pretty awesome. So how much can i charge?

Get yourself on www.detailingworld.co.uk

In the UK it can cost anything from £100 - £10,000.

AAAARRRGGGHHH......don't go near that site

Anyone who has any tendencies towards OCD should avoid at all costs (and it will cost you!)

I get paranoid about not treating my car right after visiting that website :embarassed:

Thats true, I followed a link to a products website from there and found myself with a £70 shopping list. Luckily I came to my senses and went and spent £20 on Meguiars in Halfords instead.

I paid £200 to have a full outside detail of our 330CI Sport Convertible a year ago - results were excellent.

Looking to get the Golfs done now

Hey everyone. Thank you for the replies. Please excuse any grammar or spelling issues. Im using a cellphone to login. I must be honest. A friend emailed the link to a golf that had been vandalised with spray paint and was keyed and i was amazed at what they do.  I did our gti last weekend and found it really interesting and fun. The products cost a lot though and yes its addictive. Have any of you seen a porsche in the car park and thought. What a stunning car. And then. . . You start looking swirls and you like those rims need some gloss and my word. Look at how black the exhaust is. Lol. Thats me after going onto that site.

Some guy had 6 different solutions and several brushes just for his wheels....

Ha ha. My dad asked me to clean his 4x4 this morning. But i only had half an hour. Well. . . . I gave him such a look. He extended it to an hour :). But really. That website is scary. And when you look at some of the cars they detail it really is a unique job. For me i have always been passionate about cars and to see a car that looks really bad be transformed into something awesome. Is a good feeling for me.

Washing and polishings one thing, but I don't think I'd be brave enough to machine polish a layer of paint off someones pride and joy like they do.

Just bought a shed-load of stuff from Polished Bliss. Rich is a nice guy and helps newbies like me.

All my old stuff sponges/leather/etc has been given away... now equipped with lambs wool, clay and polish... can’t wait.

Costs though!
