Title: would you buy a tdi without...
Post by: Dubbz on 07 March 2008, 16:11
Afternoon troops.
Just seen a clean mk4 tdi auto on auto trader.
Rang the seller to get the reg so i could ring VW and find out what service it's on, bloke from VW tells me its on a long life, but they have no record of servicing it?
It's done 71k 1 owner with fsh.
would you still buy a car thats had no VW servicing?
Any thoughts?

thanks.

urm depends if the seller had receipts from other garage to prove the work done

if he has nowt then walk away; plenty of Golfs with service history, dealer in indy, about

NEVER buy a car without service history

My tdi was owned by a bank before i got it. And had loads of service history.

Get the history. You need to know if its had a good life of oil changes and timing bet change at 60k.

Also hpi check.
