I really like that man :afro:
Is that sound deadning?
-
yeah its house hold insulator!
-
Just a question, it looks really good, but wouldnt that cause the engine to get too hot? and possibly overheat?
-
My thoughts too!
Rocker looks cool though :) It'd look great if you polished your bay up!
-
Not sure house insulator is the best of ideas..
Engines lookin better tho
-
haha. i had these thoughts to but i cant see it doing much harm because its small amounts, thin like 4-5 mm thick and some mk2 are fitted with sound proffing which will insulator heat also. so im not sure?
-
if its house hold stuff it will be fireproof...and like you've said some golfs had factory sound proofing and they dont have problems with over heating etc.
and what did you use to paint the rocker....must sort mine sometime soon

halfords Very High Temperature Paint
-
i put standard insulation set on my bonnet, and thats had not effect on operating temp with my engine.
looks good, 10 points for effort mate.
the high temp spray, i used that on some calipers, its got a matt finish and i didnt like it tbh. so i left it to cure and then laqured it a few times... did the trick though. total waste of time using high temp paint in the end though.
just hammerite the rocker, or even better, get it polished!
