Hi all, so I'm going to start getting my engine bay looking super smart so I'm on replacing parts (god this could be expensive!)
Anyway, the black radiator cowl (I think it's called) has alot of surface rust so I'd like to replace it. I've checked on GSF and found:
" 17332 RADIATOR-525mm G2 1.8 Carb 8/83 > 43.25 "
Although this says Radiator, will this be the radiator with the cowl? If so, thats a good price! :)
Also on a related note, what other parts could I replace in the engine bay for a shiny new version? Want to get it nice as possible for the shows.
Cheers!

I think thats a super easy part to paint. Sand the rust off, anti-rust primer, satin black, bosh!
-
Yeah, I considered that.. But I'm in a "if there's anything wrong with it, replace it" mood with this :D
Hoping to get the car to concourse condition really - And I'm just crap at painting anything so I'll just replace it if it's only 40 quid :) Cheers though!
So will that part number come with the cowl or just the actual fan then?

I think thats the radiator itself. I've looked at ECP and they list a cowl for £37 but its "not in stock".

ECP?
Hmmm.. :-/ Wonder where I could get one from!

This is pretty much what I'm aiming for eventually :D
I guess if I can't find a new one I'll have to resort to painting it.

ECP?
Euro car parts.

Ahhh yes :) Oops.
Been told if I want to get a shiney alternator and other parts, it's not a case of just buying a new one as they don't come polished. I'll have to take it out and do it myself. Dremel then polish it?
