Erm,
Momo gear knob
Leather gaiter with chrome surround
replaced original Sony headunit + disc changer with better ones.
and that's it.
I decided to keep the original tax disc holder, i think it gives a more torque at the bottom end and smoother power delivery. ;D

hunting for a decent gear stick, am fussy.
and a new aerial.. (not that i use the radio ever..)
need to emove some parts of my sub boxes, it came out of my polo and was shaped to fit a lip in the boot, it doesnt notice in the golf, but would sit flatter. also have a chunk of 1inch thick foam keeping it in place need to add a proper 'end' to the box to make it look less 'munged'
am working more on maintaining whats there well at the moment..
black strip across screen will look awful.. and i'm not a fan of smoked headlights (there are two styles.. though.. ones ok) , was tempted by mk4 ones..

I got a shorter bee-sting on my Mk2 too!
Came off a GTI that was being scrapped at VW Sport. The old one was cracked.
I've not done any real mods yet, not planning much.
So far:
Replaced side repeaters with orange units instead of the cheap smoked one that were on.
Try to do tomorrow (day off ;) )
Armour door plates
Swap out old Pioneer cassette head unit for Sony CD
Swap dash speakers for nice Kenwood items bought off jproctor ;D
Wire up second rear fog light
Wash car!

MY MK1 CAB: lowered 120ish rear and 110 ish front, g60 calipers, rotordisc brake discs pagid fast road pads, 8x15 brock b2 supercups,195x45x15 toyos, single headlight grille and eyebrow spoiler, m3 style rear clusters, vr6 front spoiler, vdo gauges in centre console, custom exhaust with single 4" outwardly rolled tailpipe, big ice on its way( not bad for about 3 weeks work)
MY MK4 GTI 1.8T: smoothed front and rear bumpers with factory bodykit also blended in, tailgate flushed with lower extension panel, lowered 70mm, 8.5x20" technomagnesio detroit f1s with pirelli 245x35x20s, anniversary headlights, bad boy bonnet with de-badged grille, lexus rear clusters, red tinted windows, huge ice, custom exhaust with 2x4"outwardly rolled tailpipes, 312mm front brake conversion, induction kit with heatshield(carbon) superchip and uprated dump valve.

::) Ermmmm just a VR6 Chin Spolier (mk3 gti), the rest is how she came out of the factory and I intend on keeping her that way... The mk1 Cabby on the other hand... is in for a few treats ;)

Just had to re-build my VR6 chin spoiler. Shattered it last christmas, and have really only just got round to doing it properly. Had to take it off to get it up on the ramps, so thought I might aswell sort it out.

just took the dash out again to sort some teething problems out and put it all back in and then noticed I'd forgot to put the center console in and you can't put it back in with the dash in there >:( grr

;D My fella has the same problem with his very low Sierra Cosworth and the ramp up to our garage.. He has to take the full front bumper off and then the exhaust scrapes along the floor OUCH... luckily it dont come out over the winter so hes only had to do it once since we bought the house... Should be fun watching him trying to get it back out when he has to reverse it down... I can see some damage being doing to the exhaust :-\
How have you manages to get a VR6 chin spiler on a mk 1 cabby... did you have to modify it?

I cant even get on my drive forwards.. my spoiler is so low I gotta reverse... the multi-storey where I park is a nightmare! gotta go so damn slow down the ramps.
