could someone tell me the why somepoeple use the psi and some use bar when refering to boost.
thanks.
-
no idea.... good point.....i dont think it makes any difference.....if they use bar or psi.
as long as they get the pressure right it dosent matter......
bloke walks in castle performance and says
hi there i want a cossie boost upgrade,
yes your ok for 15 psi on that engine,
thats great, whats that in bar......
..aaagggrrhhhhh about 3bar
great i'll have the ajustable boost valve and 3bar cut off...
cheers see ya later
............intalls boost valve new boost cut off switch.......
takes it for a spin bang goes the engine! :D ;D
-
3 bar f**k!
no wonder it blew the engine
1 bar = 14psi
or there abouts.
-
i though bar was quids as well, like 100 bar ;) ;D
-
wheneve i hear bar, i think stella ::)
-
you say tomato I say potato.
As long as the pubs open who cares? ;)
Seriously, its like why do people still work in inches?
No funny answers lads, I know what you lot are like.
-
that was just a joke......... ;D :D
turbo whats that a hoover ;D
-
probably because psi easier to work with some turbo hot hatches were roughly around 7-10psi boost as standard rs turbos 5 turbos etc and with there being 14.7psi to 1Bar I found it easier and more accurate to set my old fiesta turbo in psi unless you up with the big boys pushing 1.5bar+ :)
