Not sure what you guys think but a few folks on other forums have wanted me to take photos of their cars. I’m not a professional photographer but I like to think I’m not too shabby.
My idea is that if you’re at a meet (SoVAG, No Rice Etc) then we can find a quite spot and reel off a load of pics. I would then email you links to the pics before sending them to you on a CD. For this I would think £20 sounds alright to cover my time sorting out the pics when I get home and the costs of the CD plus postage etc.
Another option is meet you somewhere and we do a shoot. Same as above really but I’d need to factor in my tavel costs.
So what do you guys think? Would anyone be interested? I’m not out to make a fortune or fleece members of the site but people do seem to like my pics. Here are some examples.

nice pics fella, i like the pic of the polo, i personally wouldnt pay for pictures of my car because i can do it myself with a few little tweeks on photoshop and its sorted , but as for other people that dont own good cameras and editing software then im sure some people would i dont think it would earn you loads of cash but it would certainly earn you some cash. give it a go mate.

I don't want to earn loads of cash from this, I just want a little recompense for my time fiddling with the results. That way when the Mrs moans I'm not giving her attention I can say I'm earning, ha ha!

i think you are onto a winnner horney. my photographer mate is setting up a mass photoshoot round our end. all started out because i have a mate with a 997 carrera 4 in black who loves beetles. i have another mate with an imaculate 67 beetle in white, totally standard. mr porsche wants some pics of the ars together. i think at the last count we have about 7 air and watercooled vw's lines up to be shot!

Rather than trying to flog the pics why not look at the angle of selling people posters of their cars or their cars printed onto canvas.
Cut a reduced rate deal with one of the companies that do the canvas printing, you send them the image the customer wants, they send you the finished product and you make some money for taking the pics and acting as the middle man.
I'm sure lots of guys would like the idea of a large pic of their car in their living room or bedroom, not sure how many wives will allow it but if its tastefully done you never know.....

you can only see cant you and to be honest i cant see many people turning it down, a couple of cards knocked up on publisher and left on the screen of your car at these shows cant do any harm

if you don't already have it - see if you can get yourself some decent image library software like portfolio... that way you can watermark the pictures, create different formats and distribute to web etc easily... will save you time

see if you can get yourself some decent image library software like portfolio
Or just buy a Linux hosting package from someone like UKhost4U or EUKHost for about £20 for a year, with cPanel included and install open source image presentation software, or a CMS like Joomla, combined with a gallery add-in. They do all the image thumbnail, watermarking and management stuff for free and do it really well.
Horney PM me if you want to borrow some webspace to try this out - I've got a bit lying around and you can learn the packages easily and see if they work for you.

Seriously now - if there's a lot of guys want pics with a 'hottie' I have a relative who may well be willing to spend a day at a meet or wherever once you've got it sorted!
She's been 'Nuts' real girl of the year and done a fair bit of photo modelling work - (great kid too-unpretentious and a great sense of humour) she wont charge the earth either, just a few quid in her pocket and ex's!

I was thinking about doing this, but with my medium format camera, and doing posters for people, but charging around £15. Was going to do it in black and white. Its something most people wouldnt be able to do themselves, as not many people have medium format... and B&W gives it a different "arty" feel...
