Title: GTI Badge Query

Hi,

I was just wondering what badges the mk2 16v came with as standard?

My car is a 92 J plate and has the plain black grill with the plain chrome badge (no red 16v bit underneath)

I have seen some mk2s which have this badge (red it underneath)?

ones 8v (top) ones 16v (have a guess)

i think the 16v had the red 16v logo only on the rear GTi badge. Not on the grill. I THINK!

nope they have 16v on the front too  :smiley:

I want to source one like this sometime.  As the ones here in South Africa only have a 16V badge up front.  Couldn't find the photo I was looking for, so here's an OLD one off my mobile.  Ours is a larger version of just the 16V part of the badge above.

Due to the increased rarity of the 16v, the badges are worth more on gay-bay so I've had two nicked already. I'm now sporting an 8v version as I'm fed-up of it going missing.

F##king chavs.

Years ago I had one the same as the 16v but it had a red 8v logo instead. Wish I could find another one.
