i just drove my car up the road (thank god it wasnt miles away) and as i changed gear there was a snapping sound and now my pedal is stuck to the floor. Are these clutches cable or hydraulic?

i think mk4's are hydraulic clutch

You could have put this up in the mk4 section - would have got more help :cool:

On the clutch pedal there is a plastic block which held in place by a strip of steel, this strip of steel somtimes snaps off which could give you the problem you have.
