How much you reckon its worth in april when its mot'd to sell.
1997 P reg 8v Gti
108,000 Miles on the clock.
1 Years MOT (april 08 april 09)
6 months tax
3 door
Pretty much full service history
Service at 106000 miles - Plugs, leads, oil, coolant, filters etc
New exhaust Cat backwards (Standard)
4 New Goodyear eagle F1s tyres at 106000 miles
New front discs and pads at 106000
K&N Cone but have standard Airbox too with filter
Debadged grill but have Standard to fit back on.
Only rust is a few bits of surface rust on the drivers door.
Alloys ok condition, 1 is kurbed fairly badly, but cleans up well.
ABS / Air con / Standard Interior

i hear wat your sayin mate, its a sh*tter insurance wise at your age,in theory its a good idea to keep the little t*ssers frm affordin fast cars,bt in reality they just drive round like c*cks without insurance instead!

nevamind,ul soon be 21..............and wishing you were 19 again!lol!
-
Yeah, well tomo hopefully i will be promoted to assistant manager, then i will have a bigger budget, maybe i will keep the gti :/
But i would like a diesel, so i can spend more on beer and clothes, lol. £1900 this year on insurance, think what else i could of bought!?
-
insurance is more than cars worth......now i can see why your selling up fella
-
Yep, and thats before all the work i done on it. Dont get me wrong, i love the car, just isnt worth it when you weigh it up.
-
cn u get an early mk2 gti,n try n get it on classic car insurance?
-
i know what you mean.....i brought mine instead of a splitscrren camper so it wasn't a money pit....how wrong was I  i can't stop now i got the modding bug......spent flipping loads so far on lights/wheels etc etc
-
Its hard, becuase i want mod cons, air con, elec windows, abs, traction control, hence looking at new fiestas and mk4 TDI's Hmmmmm
I still gotta get this one through the MOT, exhaust, rear tyres, front brakes.
Might end up keeping it with all i have spent! Who knows.
-
u cn hav to many mods cons, they start to take the fun outta drivin!
-
Stick with the mk3 dude, you wont get the money back you spent on it ...
-
Yeah, but im starting to go off it, its too big, its not a hot hatch that you can stick anywhere, and its just big. And im going of the look of it too. Im really not sure atm! hmmm.
