hoe do i remove the vw badge from my front grill???
the chrome has worn off so it is just plastic so i wanna take it off and paint it black

theres 3 clips that need prying with a small flat screwdriver.... unclip and pop out
-
easy -
i found the easiest way is to take the grill off
there are four clips just on the top edge between the lights
there are another two clips just beneath the lights - use a screwdriver to prise it out
when you are handling the grill take it easy and do it gently - should come off no problem
then you'll see that you can just lever the three clips on the back of the badge and it'll pop out!
-
Im doing that to mine tomorrow!
Mine just clips right out. There is 3 places where it clips on; top, bottom left and bottom right (120 degree angle between each clip, if you know what i mean).
Also doing the rear badge. Oh and don't forget clear laquer!

sorry boney - i have gone against your advice.. I have found it is easier to pop the grill off to get any leverage...
