The other day i was driving home in the dark and when there were no cars coming towards me i turned to full beam, and i noticed that when changing from dipped to full beam, when you press gently the stalk to full beam, the full beam lights come on and dipped stay on too, abd this gives good visubility, but when you press the stalk all the way to select the full beam, the full beam comes on but the dipped lights dim down, the difference was that if u press it gently, u can see far off and you can see directly infront of you. with the full ebam selected u can see far off but directly infront of you theres a patch with dimmed lights.
My question is, is there a way to have the full beam and dipped lights on constantly for good visibility when the stalk is pressed?
Do you know what i mean??

Get an uprated loom and good bulbs, that will help a lot towards what you want.
The way you want will require fiddling about too much and that's generally when things end in tears, try out the loom/bulbs :wink:

bulbs are new ice white bulbs. so i cant be that, if im gna have to change the loom to a tiny bit more light. then i think theres no point.:(

10% more light which makes a difference. Also check your aiming.

ive got crystal clear lights. and combined with the ice white bulbs there so bright!! btu its just tht little thing tht annoys me lol

Its because the bulbs used are only supposed to run 1 element at a time, when you hold the lever halfway you get both filaments on simultaneously, ie. 120w bulb. The big bonus is that main beam points into the distance, and your dipped beam points low, so you get good all round visibility.
If you have a quad grill, then when you flick main beam on, the spots point low too (same effect as above).
Its possible to re-wire the lights pretty easily so when main beam comes it, it keeps dipped on too, just need to use two extra wires and a diode and jobs a goodun. My mate runs this on his Corsa, he drives from Oban > Glasgow a lot on tiny unlit roads, so has wired up his lights to give him the best visibility - obv. at the risk of melting the headlamp, fire, blinding someone blah blah.
I've got 100w bulbs and spots, plenty bright for me, but when I put the 2 lap grille back on (quad only goes on for winter), I shall get a cheap HID set (yes I know its illegal, blah blah, uprated loom blah).
