Title: Side mounted seats in a mk2/recaro speed seats

has anyone fitted side mounted seats such as recaro apex or cobra imola in their mk2? as i'm curious if recaro's double locking runner system allows you to bolt straight in? as i dont fancy the welding in a box section and making guides option!

and if anyone has recaro speed sport seats can you let me know if they sit high in a sense of knees to steering wheel as thats the main reason i'm looking into fixed back as i can get down low.
