Title: Spot light wiring

Ive put the origional quads back on the car but cant see how too wire the spots up ( ive had a go )  all ive got is one wire comming out of each spot which is attatched to the bulb which I presume is the live. The earth I preume goes on the metal case at the back. Ive got an uprated headlight loom. What ive done is tap into the headlights for the earth and the live. Is this right. My spots come on with the headlights (should they???) they also seem really bright.

They should come on with full beam, and then off when mains are dipped...

ive got the uprated loom which i pinched off a  single light grill, I have tapped into the earth and live off the headlights so the quads also come on but they seem rather bright??.

The spots are meant to be bright I thouight... Best to sort out the wiring and get/hack the loom into a proper quad loom.
