Title: Driver side air intake
Post by: Alan21GTI on 29 February 2008, 13:29
Hi there, I am replacing the standard air intakes (just above the splitter) with fk automotive power ones. On the driver side intake there is a small whole into which a black thick wire with a white bit on the end fits into. What is it? My new intakes don't have a whole for it to fit into. Is this a sensor or can I cable tie it some were?
Thanks,
Alan

Outside air temp sensor that is mate. Im donig exactly the same thing at the moment. Just came in to the warm. You can make a hole for it, or just leave it cable tied to something, its not too important.

What did you do with the horn? As its right in the way to put a pipe for the air up to the engine bay?

Cheers mate, the intakes are for show, they are colour coded and smoothed. I've got a viper induction kit to fit, the cold air feed will sit behind the front grille so don't need to worry about the horn. Will get pictures of the car when I get all the mods on!
Cheers,
Alan
