Title: golf3 Questions
Post by: adamrob69 on 29 February 2008, 12:53
Hi, i have a standard mark3 golf. Theres a few questions which i would like to know the answers to...

Body trim:
How does the body trim off the GTIs fit to the body? (Like the plastic trim that goes over the wheel trims) as my golf is standard it does not have these and i was thinking about putting them on. Would that be an easy modification or would it take a bit of work eg drilling holes in the body?

Door Sills:
Im after some protective door sills at a decent price. Doesnt have to be anything special but fairly cheap. I would like them to be the proper vw golf ones, but can only seem to see golf GTI ones, my car isnt a GTI and if i can avoid it i would prefer not to advertise it as such!

Would appreciate any advice or help on the matters

Body trim - pops on and off. arches have 3 or 4 little soft metal rivets on the underside.

If you dont want the Gti sills then you will have to trawl the interent for some side skirts!

the protective door sills i have now sorted after a bit of looking, £25 for 4 door stainless steel saying "Golf" and not "golf GTI"!

the trim i want is the bottem bit found on the GTIs, goes from the wheel arches, runs down the bottem of the car and then to the other wheel arch. im not intrested in the trims on the actual doors. My main query on this is would i be able to fit it on a standard golf?

nelds: i carnt view your pm because iv posted less then 10 messages! its 5 doors. email me if you wish.
