Title: Oil Light

Hey All,

My Oil light came on this morning I have done 28500 miles so coming up to the 30k service, Anything to worry about? I actually checked the oil yesterday and it was just under half way up on the stick. What Oil should I use to top it up before the service? The oil in there looks fairly thin in consistency.

I use Castrol Edge 5W-30 to top up mine. Although it hardly ever uses any!

If the level is correct at 1/2 way I would not expect the oil light to come on.
Any recent changes? + are you using the correct oil checking procedure? obv but I do need to ask!

I say 1/2 way but it was a little lower thinking about it. I have been checking the oil correctly. I have topped it up now so will monitor over the next few days, I am sure its just my heavy foot over the past 3 weeks that has helped consume more than normal!
