Title: First service quotes?
Post by: TagnuT on 27 February 2008, 20:18: What have poeple been quoted for a 10,000 mile time and distance service?

Dealer A) T&D service (normal oil) Ã‚£141. With long life oil Ã‚£170.

Dealer B) T&D service Ã‚£170 (they only use long life in the GTI sir.....oil).

Dealer C) SEAT dealer ( rang up as a new Cupra owner :tongue:) that will be Ã‚£170 sir. Is that long life oil? The oil is specific to the car.

Folks who have had a normal T&D service how much did they charge you for the oil?

Didn't enquire about the type of oil though :undecided: Does it need 'longlife' if its been serviced every 10k? I don't really much about types of engine oils - anyone!? :huh:

Ask for a quote on a lubrication service with long life oil, not just a 'service' otherwise you'll be quoted for an interval service - you only need an oil change at 10K on T&D servicing. I was also quoted Ã‚£180 for a long life interval service.

Never used them myself.
