is ther any way we can find out a history on a car,
can we go down to dealers and give the reg number of the car, and would they supply it

That would give some history, probably new to around 50k miles when they owner took it to dealers to be serviced, then the novalty wore of if you get me.

Not all deelers will tell you. some dont even keep the service history. Worth a go, im not sure about VW

can you remember wot was the last recorded miles for it in 2002
i might px it with my 16 valver
stil thinking about it tho, im from sheffield and the vr is in heathrow

mike's right....once u dont need to use main dealer anymore we dont :grin: according to records my mate said mine was lst done at VW in 2000. he also reckons £55 for a new VIN plate too :cry:

im just scared that it has been messed aroubnd with coz i got a gti once with low milege and the got it checked it was realy high
