Title: radiator
Post by: VeeDubGTI16v on 05 April 2004, 09:39
erm, i was comparing my engine to ed's 8v yesterday and hes got a bigger radiator than me ??? >:(

if you look at the engine straight on, where the rad bolts on on the right there are 3 slots where the rad mount can be put. mine is bolted on the small bracket, eds on the middle one, therefore a bit longer

erm what sized rad iam i supposed to have cos surely it would be the same size as tyhe 8v one

The rad on mine uses the furthest mounts available on the front panel. Its a monster.

I got aircon on mine so it has the extra gubbins for that.

I wouldnt like it to start leaking , I've heard its well expensive.

Check this nutter out.

You can also see the ram air pipe in the pic to to airbox lol. ;)

As for yours, I would guess the later cars with the big bumpers might have had a larger rad fitted.

As long as your not getting any problems with over heating then I would leave it as it is.
