haha trick is take ur time, and use a good quality solder iron

blue leds are all over ebay, u need 3mm 5v with resistors, or 12v without resistors

maplin?
They don't do 3mm 12v LED's in blue, just every other colour.

hmmm headlight, mirror switch, window switches, sunroof switch....    any switches will be fine as it saves me bodging them!! My sterio is blue faced with orange buttons, so my idea is orange seat dials and blue switches.. i have some led bulbs for the cig lighter and heater panel to fit...gonna try them and see (worth trying for £3)

well i can easy help out, the only one u will have a prob with is the headlight switch, to get it blue u have to remove the green paint, not easy and the green still shows, its quite a involved job, iv done it so i know,  i guarentee those in germany wont look as good as they do in the pic,

your best getting the 3.5 cab switch for this one but its expensive and its red of course not blue

i do come around your way still yes, not so oftern lately as my weekends have been pretty mad

if we are doing some switch meet, it would need to be pretty soon a sim getting ready to hopefully do the engine swap at some point so alot of my (very rare) free time will be going into that and i have a whole host of events coming up im working on which again takes a big wedge of time up

i can do the switch's easy tho.. its not hard, can be a fiddle but thats it, theirs a few tricks on a few of the switches that can vary from early and late spec cars... but iv done them both so i know hte crack

late type (3 button) sunroof switch used special leds, hard to come by but i can get them, and if anyone would need the late type maf/mileage screens doing like my aniversary ones are, well that is a very involved job but do able

yeah they look wicked! Would look great in red with a set of reverse red lcd's from DDI.

For the light panel though, being the oposite way round to ours, I'm sure if you took out the dials and dropped them into our correct way round panel they'd still work a treat. good find ;)

Would these work even if you dont have lighted buttons? like heater dials? plus do they come with intructions?

Wizzkidd just emailed me regarding leds i replied this:

would you want it done as soon as? i am a bit busy but could fit it in bit by bit and you will obviousely have to pay for the return postage. just to let you know i am not an expert at this mod but i am the electronic and tech repair engineer for hawkwoods.com so have a good bit of knowledge of that side of it and also have carried all work on my cars by myself so i am mechanical also. the leds and wire wont cost much few quid from farnel or rs (component suppliers) will be a couple hours work though which i dont mind. you want to post it over and il get it apart, i will also show you some leds for you to choose from once i have looked at it and decided what leds to use.

Offers open there mate could do this together and you'd have a sick dial mod if any damage is caused i will sort you out so theres no worries. I have been looking into doing this myself but never got round to buyin dials
