I reckon the sound would get seriously annoying after a while lol

you dont even need to buy a dv to get that sound, if you got an air filter you just need to block the little pipe that would go into the dv and the one on the side and it chatters (no it doesnt f**k the engine up either) anybody that saw my car on the weekend will tell you its sweet

There pipes that go into places 1 & 2 block them off, leave the valve still plugged in on the remaining pipe:

Bosh - you have flutter

...

Took me a while to stop laughing, but I hereby completely retire from giving advice and information on anything diverter/dump valve related. Search function will find the hundreds of posts I've made over the last 5 years on the subject.

right so if i put on a norm dump valve its easy to change to and from??

also can you block it off n get the sound if the engine is completely standard?

on a completely standard engine you wont hear it really, need a filter at least.

I had a baileys dv and just swapped them over every now and then to hear the flutter or the dump depending on my mood!

yh thats what il do i expect

what you think of the forge recirculation ones that also give you the tsssh sound
Title: Re: pigeon dump vavles???

the forge 007 (the one i used to show which pipes to block) will give you the same sound as you'l get from doing this (wastegate chatter) they are designed not to make any noise but if you have a filter it will make one.

The forge Split-R valve (what I got) comes with a trumpet or blankin plate, when you screw the trumpet in it gives a tsshhh sound, very similar to that on the rice mobiles and if you put the blanking plate in you get the pigeon flutter, hope this helps

Thats the one! All forge products come with a lifetime warranty too if the seals/springs go on it (like mine) then you send it back and they sort it out for free! Good bit of kit

On the standard bosch recirc valve there are 3 pipes, two big one small, just replace them exactly the same way with the split r, they are layed out the same

on mine i have a turbosmart kompact plumb back recirc valve. its not a blow off atmospheric one or anything but at high revs it makes a blow off sound and a low revs it makes that scutter noise. its perfect for me. on the top it has two settings, you turn it left for hard and right for soft, so you can have it just how u like it. very good quality valves aswel. exact same fitment of the standard bosch one, in and out in no time at all. http://www.turbosmart.com.au/index.php?id=44  Think you can also get exact copys of this very cheap elsewhere. Probs wont be as good tho
