Just about got the Morrettes setup to install, new optic & rubber boots - just need bulbs now!
Only thing I can't work out is theres a red wire coming out of a relay(?) attached to the passenger side headlight & I'm not sure where to 'plug it in'.
According to instructions on e-stying.co.uk
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
CONNECT the red wire on the positive of battery (+)
Can any one confirm this? It has a single 'slot' socket on the end so I'd have to run an extention to reach the battery but just want to make sure this is correct as I'd assumed they'd pick up power the same way as OEM lights?!
-
they should be plug and play into the oe harness matey??
id splice into the OE wiring for the headlight if not
have u a pic of the back of your morette's?
-
Ok, apologies for the poor pic, best my camera phone has to offer!
This is the passenger side light;
Lower left is the connection to the OEM loom in the car, lower right is what I'm led to believe the 'live' power to hook up to the battery (+) that atr present isn't connected at one end with the other going into the relay.

Hmmmmmm
let me take a look at mine tomo and see how they are, cant remember off top of my head...
but does look as you say..will confirm how mine are tomo, they may be similar

Cheers! I've read on a SEAT forum that a guy had the same problem with the rogue red cable but the lights worked without it?
Failing all else I guess I'll just plug them in & see, then try the (+) connection after?!
-
yeah maybe worth a try, ill take a peek at mine anyhow, i didnt wire nothing up to the batt tho thats for sure
-
While Kells is having a look at his Hella's has anyone got Morette's installed??
-
yo dude
my hella are just straight into the OE plugs, but thats what i expected as they were a main dealer option back int day...
i have modified my wiring tho to suit me, the way they light up etc etc and which lamp comes on when bla bla
i guess you should do what u said las night, try it without hooking that red wire up and see what happens, if no good try it hooking it up

Has no one on here got Morette's??
That's awesome! I'll be unique!
