Hi everyone. After my brief dalliance with Subaru, I'm back on the dubs. I've just bought a Mk5 2.0 GT.
Not a GTI, I know, but as I work from home and the wife will be driving it to work every day I couldn't justify the expense!
-
Clever cars those GT's, I like them. I hope they bring out a big version soon, i.e. 2.0L and higher boost.
-
It's actually a 2 litre normally aspirated petrol engine (150PS) in my car.
It's the model that the 1.4 TSI GT/Sport replaced.
-
Didn't know that (should have noticed it in your post) - do they not make the 1.4 anymore? Bit odd if not... If so, they were either a testbed for a future engine or perhaps they have had reliability and/or profitability issues.
-
No, mate - the other way around.
I got mine 2nd hand. They don't make my model any more... The 1.4 TSI replaced the 2.0 FSI.

howdo rich

Hi Toph! You still got the rallye?
-
Yep it's still sat on the drive with no tax or mot and a camper sitting behind it :lipsrsealed:
I shall be joining your defection to the mk5 section on friday though when i chop my mk4 in for a mk5!
