I was unblocking the jet washers and when i went to test them the whole thing just stopped working. the wipers are now stuck in the vertical position, and nothing from the right thing on the steering wheel (were u turn wipers on and off ect) is working. I think i might have dislocated the selector thing. what u think? what can i do to heal my MK2??

check the fuses.

i have, it sounds as if the arm thing isnt connected to anything in the steering column, sounds like its just moving with out making contact.
Any other suggestion on what to do?? i need the car tomorrow and the weather is looking like its gna rain!

easy way, whip the steering wheel off (25mm socket iirc) undo all the gubbins around the column, then unscrew the plate thats at the top of the column, and it will reveal all of the stalks connectors etc. Have a play, see if they have come off ( i doubt it) but it's worth a try.
Other way, have a look see if you mistakenly pulled the connector off the wiper motor. (under the scuttle panel on the drivers side)
