you can tell i have been on my first test drive because i have come back with a load of problems! LOL
i did a 5 mins drive and when i got back the coolent was up half way on the gauge (after 5 mins) The system pissed out bubbling water when i took the cap off and there is no water atall in the top radiator hose. Also i have no antifreeze in there so that doesnt help lol.
my questions is... How do i bleed the system?? or do i? This time i just filled it up.. and pumped the top hose untill it wouldnt suck down any more water. Is there anything specific i need to do, Need to know before i go and change it for antifreeze

i just leave it running till it gets hot and then leave it to cool down and then top it up-is the waterpump working?

I hope its working! How do i tell?

run the engine with the cap off until its hot with the heater on full...continually top the water/anti freeze up then refit cap and turn off.. and you can see the water moving in the expansion bottle and also feel it in the hoses if the pumps working

Ok cool! i will do that, Judging by the face the top radiator hose was totaly empty i would say i had an air lock rarther than a pump problem, it was a good runner before i changed the gearbox. Will look into it tomorrow.
