Title: Elec Windows not workin mk2 golf

just wondering if anyone can tell me if I can use any other relay than 24 which it currently has, my windows no longer work and i'm guessing it cant be the switches and ive checked all fuses and they are fine so I think it could be the relay is goosed?

Can't find no loose wires and I removed the positive and negative and placed them on the battery to narrow whats wrong and they still don't work

Surely 1 post is sufficient - I doubt anyone will reply immediately! Pop the relay out, look at the underside, usually it identifies the circuit of the relay, with an ordinary automotive relay being

If its the same 4 pin layout, any ordinary relay would suffice - otherwise, just go to a breakers/dealers and grab an identical replacement.
