Nooo 2day i lifted the Oil Filler cap from my 1994 Golf 1.4 and found a yellowy mayo liquid.
No iv heard this could be the first signs on a headgasket problem.
but also heard it can happen when the car hasnt been run for a while sorter like a condensation build up.
is this right? i use my corsa to get to and from work. The golf bought as a project hasnt been ran in a few weeks or so.
Help!

Yeh this is normal if the car is only occasionally driven or only does short journeys. At work when we PDI the new vehicles there is a horrifying amount of mayo under the caps on the new cars where they are stored for a while before sale.
