Any idea of a price inc fittin and suply to get a middle and rear box on my gti.
Not an after market one, just the cheapo standard one, without holes?
Cheers mike

i was in kwik fit today getting my wheel allignment sorted out and i was given a quote for a middle and back box for my 1993 1.4 mk3 golf,
they said they have the parts already and they can supply and fit them for £100 with a 3 year garuntee

standard gti exhaust is around £120 for the 3 bits you need..and fitting should be around £40...
if your calling around make sure they quote you on the twin back box as some Slow-fit places try sell the 1.8 back box (single) to make the price cheaper!!

I have a singel atm, maybe the last owner got mugged like this. Hmm its definetly something to think about. As i done hundreds of miles this weeked (spent £60 on fuel!) and my exhaust sounds worse with every mile.

mine was blowing for 4 months and still gave 38mpg.... I finally had to sort it as it was split in 3 places and banging everywhere
-
mines been fubared for ages have just ordered some parts will post pics in a sec may give you some ideas and its done on a budget

theres nothin i want more than an awesome exhaust from the cat backwards, but i got lots of other bills to pay on it, so i can afford to sink lots into the exhaust, but it will fail the mot in april on this. So yeah, i need ideas really.

vw told me that the mk3 8v had a single tailpipe as standard?
only the 16v and vr6 came with the twin

I was under the understanding that it had the twin steel box, and the 1.8 had the single.
