Post by: Mikester on 22 February 2008, 23:12
So i had the tyres fitted, and tracking done. result! We can go round corners!

When up on ramps, found exhaust has a hole in the back AND MIDDLE boxes. No so much of a result.

Bought some "lazer blue side light bulbs" but they are just plain white..... not a result

Bought some new H1 bulbs for dipper beam "rally bulbs, not suitable for road use" They are great!!! result.

Abs still working A-O-K, result.

Rear tyres and brakes are ruined..... not a result.

TAX next month! MOT IN APRIL.

......gay.

This is just the way things are with older cars, you fix one thing then something else rears its ugly head, keep plodding on (and ploughing all your hard earned into it) and it will eventually all seem worth it even if the bank manager don't agree.

Im starting to think, every pay day i have, i end up skint by the next one, and i spend it on my car, dont even buy new clothes much, so its like, why am i bothering? Really tempted to sell up to be honest.

Before mot i need an exhaust from cat back, brakes and 2 more tyres, before i get it tested and it might fail on some thing else.

Money money money, just for an 8v gti?!?!

worth it? Im not so sure now.
