Title: Clicking on Reverse

The golf is almost sorted for its MOT,   got lots of little jobs to do this weekend,   change the handles so they work and change and flush the oil.

However,  the one problem I've not worked out yet.

On reverse the car "clicks" every 1/4 wheel turn or so but not when going forwards,  I think its coming from the front passenger side wheel but not entirely sure.

Now,  I was thinking CV joint but not had a chance to look yet (how hard would this be to do as a DIY on my own btw?) but someone I know suggested it might be something to do with the back brakes.  Any thoughts please?

CV I would guess too and not that hard!
