i was wondering what the spec difference between the vr6 and the vr6 highline?we never recieved the highline vr and im curious to know the difference.also what years was that car produced?thanks!

Highlines had leather, air con, traction control. Things that would be accepted as general mod cons now.

heres a link to a highline brouchure....http://www.volkswizard.co.uk/brochures/golfvr6highlinebrochure.htm (http://www.volkswizard.co.uk/brochures/golfvr6highlinebrochure.htm)

Think the differences were...
standard fogs/
had traction control,
air con,
different vr6 badges (slightly smaller rectangle ones)
15" bbs solitudes like the gti colour concept instead of normal vr6 cross spoke ones.
They had a wooden gearknob.
They were in black metallic or that mullberry colour (matching leather) (heated probably) (and carpets? ,...i dont know)?
I dont know it there were any other differences...?
I could have missed out loads.
But Probably my age but my insurance company wanted £50 more a year for a highline than a normal vr6, same year/ same value etc.... same group though i think.
think they ran from April 1995 for a bit.

BAscially heated seats, traction control and leather, as the others were available as extras on the gti's and vr6s.
-
they also came with better door seals and some more sound insulation i belive and have black trims instead of cream inside, not sure if the headlining is black too? :undecided:
-
did they come 2.9??
-
no bud, only the syncro came with that engine
-
Also had a raised centre consloe where the hand brake is..
-
Cup holder.

Traction control along with ABS was standard on all VR`s after 95 no idea if the earlier ones were all equipped with it..
