Title: changing a 4speed gearbox to a 5 speed

hi, i have a 1400cc mk 3 golf 4 speed L reg, the gearbox has recently given up on me so i have bought a 5 speed gear box which fits, i was jus wondering if there is anything else i need to change with it? ive been told i need to renew the clutch and flywheel is this true? thanks alot.

depends what the gearbox is off ?

check ecp for the part numbers see if there the same -i cant see why the clutch should be bigger .engine size is the same so shouldn't make no difference
