I recently bought a mk gti cabby in heious blue and am about to start doing her up, just seeing into how much for a full respray and would really like to get hold of some big bumpers for her before I start.
:o I was shocked to find that a genuine pair were going to cost me over ?1000 new and I have failed to find anywhere that does replicas.
If anyone knows any where that would be a great help.
Cheers :)

You could also try "Volks-appart"

Hi Lynz - congrats on the purchase - good choice.
There is a company advertising a whole clipper set (including VR6 chin spoiler) for ?400 in the back of the Golf magazine - they are using new moulds, so they should be ok. I should imagine they would sell you a bumper, if thats all you need

What ever you do dont get a pattern one it will fit terribly and look naff.
As mentioned above the best place to try the is breakers.
Ebay does have bargains but most of the time the bids I find get to silly prices.
Good luck in your search.

;D Hi thanx for the help guys much appreciated ;D
Do you think ?112 is dear for a complete set?
Thanx vixter your an angel ;D
-
seems like a really good price to me, providing it is in good condition, otherwise you will just be wasting your money.
-
:) she said that all parts are fine but the front bumper has started to be rubbed down ready for painting so looks a bit rough.
shall I go for it?
-
You will need to have it sprayed anyway, so a bit of smoothing on the front bumper wont be a problem. I would go for it at that price, especially as it is the whole kit.
-
;D Cool thats just what I wanted to hear. ;D
-
;D Got me my clipper kit paid a little more than first expected but what the hell ive got it ready for when it gets painted.
The bidding went mad at the end I was fighting it out with a guy who clearly wanted them... I won at ?276 OUCH I know. But they are originals and it would have cost me ?1100 for new VW genuine ones which I wanted, at least I know they are gunn fit and the lady who is selling them is not far from me so I dont have to pay for postage :D They just better be as good as she says they are or I will cry.
Roof next after respray god my bank manger is gunna hate me.
