Personally I prefer the twin pipes but as long as its definitely for your car and not a "universal" one then go ahead mate.

Price v quality - well you always get what you pay for!

Surely you could pick up a second hand stainless system for a few more notes, i'd say hold on to your papers for a little longer.

well i need a new exhaust ASAP to get thorugh the MOT. And i dont fancy another standard, but to hell with spending 150-200+ on it.

And that is made for a 2l gti not 16v, so i guess it will fit fine.

And it is the volksbit one.

So is it really that bad?

Hmmmm well its blowing, but im not even sure if its blowin from the box. Im just hoping it is! haha.

Is not that i have to save for it, i just cant justify that on an exhaust back box. its stupid, just for a lump of metal, my car only cost 900, so 200+ on the exhaust, just no!

you can do this yourself by popping your palm briefly over the end of the zaust.... if its blowing/leaking you'll soon see where

Hmm i was guna buy it and take it to somewhere to be fitted.

HOw much would a tyre and exhaust place charge to fit an exhaust if you give them the box? Roughly.

My mate had exhaust, box and fitting for £37 on a fiesta!!!

changing the box on a golf is easy :D got 2 rubber bushes that hold the 2 hangers...just push the bush on the further side of the hanger (use loads of wd40), then undo the clamp that holds the backbox, hit the pipe with a hammer so that it will move, and try to jiggle the box about (warning, make sure the car is secure on an axel stand as your legs will be under the car)...once the box starts to move move the other bush out of the way and pull the box off :D

now to refit its the same, slot the box and then put the bush closest to you back on the exhaust to hold it up and slot the backbox onto the exhaust as far as you can to make sure it is secure, then put the other bush on and align it but be carefull, when your aligning the box it will try to come off the rest of the exhaust so when your turning it, make sure you are keeping it on by pushing it back, then tighten the clamp

:)
