Hi a pal brought round his new R32 hes bought unseen from the VW Dealer.
Its got the high back heated Recaro Leather option which after driving 200 miles has started to aggravate a back injury.
Hes asked the dealer to swop them over so Ive offered to swop for my standard leather heated seats which hes happy to do - bit chuffed as its the only one that the previous owner of mine didnt spec that I would have liked
The standard ones have an side airbag just below the head rest - does anyone know if when we swop them will the R32 automatically know that the airbag is there and deploy in the event of a crash - id be interested if the standard R32 seta have the same airbag
Cheers
Yanek

The sensors and plugs are universal across the Mk5 range, so unless the Recaro has a unique fitting it should be a straight plug a play
