Title: AIRBAG FAULY WARNING ON DASH COMPUTER?

Hi folk

my mk 4 Turbo is saying it has a fauly airbag on the computer when i fire the ignition up, i have vag com but not tried that yet, i was just wondering does anyone know if this is a comon thing on the mk 4??  is it just a sensor ??  etc

have you recently done any electrical work on the car without disconnecting the battery??  tends not to like that

do you have side airbags?? check under your seats to ensure that the connectors haven't come out or are broken

i havnt done anything at all different to the car, was ok in the morning then later on just flashed up

it has the side airbags yes, its a 2001 year...

check the connectors.  also fire up VAG COM and clear the codes.  It may also pinpoint the problem  :smiley: or it may not come back lol

yeah will fire up the vag com for sure :cool:
