Hi hbomb,
If it is buckled you would be better off having a replacement alloy, rather than trying to repair as it may have structural weaknesses you cannot see.

New wheel recommended

It's bad enough having a gti with 17" wheels in the first place. The prospect of having to spend money to buy a new one is just
Surely, this is a good time to get rid of those things - they were designed to look a bit naff in order that everyone would plump for the proper wheels.
If you do go for a replacement, surely there must be hundreds of 17" wheels littering alloy wheel shops up and down the land, as people trade up to the proper ones

If you're really serious about buying on e-bay you need to contact the seller and make sure they have your contact details (mobile number). Tell them you are prepared to give them a buy it now price if they're interested. Quite often someone will offer the seller a buy it now price and they accept, close the auction early, and you will miss out
