Title: Lowering a Bora
Post by: 56 ragtop on 01 April 2004, 22:13
Im starting to look into suspension kits to lower my Bora Sport. I read in a couple of adverts that there platform suspension is 'now adjustable on the rear too, upto 65mm'. So is that to say that you cant lower a mk4 chassis any more than 65mm on the arse end? Also can anybody recommend any kits, either platforms or fixed. Ill be running 18" wheels and would like it reasonable low but without totally destroying the ride comfort. Thanks

They are Bilstein PSS9, they are supposed to be very good, height and damper adjustable but very expensive.

Ive got to say im pretty pleased with mine. Its no faster than my mk3 GTI, but its far more refined and a lot smoother to drive.  Its not very chuckable but thats not what they were designed for i suppose. Obviousley a 4motion will be a different kettle of fish. Ive certainly got no regrets in upgrading to one. I just want some wheels and suspension sorting out and ill be a happy chappy.
