Title: Help!!! with a logical question added.
Post by: Alpinehead on 16 February 2008, 16:48
great..   just spent ages carfully soldering a micro led strip in the top of my clocks to give me some pretty blue dials, plugged it all in, hit the lights switch to test all good. noticed i had no battery/oil lights so as im unplugging the 2 ribbon blocks, the blue plastic thing that carrys all the elec to everywhere just ripps straight off.  one f00ked clock cluster.

OK...
now i have got over my little panic/stress i have been think what i done wrong..   why would the oil/batt, rev counter not of worked when i put my clocks back in. obviously i will be puttin a new set of clocks in 2morrow and dont particually want to be taking it in and out again incase i break another 1.  i clipped the 2 ribbons back in correctly, put speedo cable back on, put the little pipe back on the black thingy (soz i dont no what thats for) basicly reversed me takin it out.  i was not heavy handed and as far as i know i didnt break nothing.  only thing different i have done is solderd a led strip where the green filter was in place of the bulbs. (which looked sweet and worked no probs)

suggestions please peeps.
