Title: question for rubjohnny
Post by: raferackstraw on 16 February 2008, 13:54
hi mate i'm getting a drain on my battery of 0.25amps causing battery to flatten over 24hrs
i did the multimeter test wiv neg lead disconnected and found when i pulled fuse no3 the drain went
now its an 1985 cabby wiv 9a 16v convo
ithink the fusebox is later as there are 22 fuses whereas haynes manual says 15fuses
they are the spade type
so what does fuse 3 do and what should i look for
it does have a cobra alarm/immobiliser but when i arm/disarm the drain is still there so i dont thinks its the alarm
can u give me any pointers oh fountain of wisdom in all things vw

if it is indeed the later fusebox which it should be in an 85, fuse #3 is reponsible for:
ciggy lighter
interior light
boot light
clock
radio
central locking
