Well the day has finally come. Old car sold, new car found!!
Driving to Redditch to test drive and haggle on the price a bit more, if all goes to plan then i will have my first 'proper' car
Has been a hard job finding a GTI, particulary with the spec i want. Just want to thank everyone here for all the advise (direct or not) and the massive pool of info available!!!
I will let you all know how i get on later. Fingers crossed!

What's the Spek????
-
Black, 5 Door, leather, Lux pac, Monza II's. I have to admit that i did have to sacrifice Sat nav & Xenons but i think that i can get them afterwards anyway.
I will know more of the exact spec when i go down. To be honest, as long as i got a 5 door with leather & 18'S i could live without the rest.
Well, 12pm is here and im finishing work early (great being in charge!!) as i can wait any longer.
Later!

G'luck pal  Get sum pics up when you return!
-
Let us know how it went! Also Aftermarket Xennons not possible, well not without a huge expence!
-
Remember to haggle about not paying for the Leather as it is now standard on new GTI's
-
I second that, you can not legally fit xenons aftermarket, get them from the factory, much better!
-
Well.......................
Ive now got a GTI
Collecting on Friday evening so i will be pulling my hair out till then! Thanks for the comments on the Xeonons, i have seem some type of kit on awesome's web site but i will look into this if i feel i realy need them.
I managed to get 500 off the car, 2 wheels refurbished, 2 new Conti sp2 tyres (said that they were unevenly worn) and all the little scratches taken out. Oh and got the finance down 38 quid also!! It was tough getting much, delt with 4 different people in total, some were softer than others but the main thing is that i feel that i got a good car for a great price.
Pics will follow on saturday!!
