ive seen it too and bloody wish i wasnt skint.lol
-
that's hot as anything
-
Looks good, but don't believe everything you read on ebay.
It's can aonly be called mint when you have been to see it, climbed underneath and had a good poke around every where else then driven it !
-
As i said if only i had the spare cash i would go and give it a real good going over this is the best i have seen on ebay for a long while tho
-
What do you expect it to fetch?
-
£2.5K maybe?
Not really cup of tea though, my least fave MKII colour and I can't stand the seat pattern on late MKII's.
Nick
-
yeah i reckon it will make between £2-2.5k i know what you mean bout the colour but to me this one just looks right
-
Easily more than 2-2.5k! How many do you see with that low mileage and bog standard and no mods? Took me months to find mine, and that was a lot more mileage than that one and not in as good condition. I reckon with it being posted here and on other sites it will go for 3.5-5k! One with a bit lower mileage and one owner went for getting onto 7k a year or two back!
-
In my opinion pay £8K for it if you're going to trailer it to shows and never drive it. Pay £3K max if you actually intend to drive it as if you paid £8K and drove it everytime you took it out of the garage you'd wipe £100 of the value. Much better to buy something a bit more realistic. But come on guys, £8K'll get a reasonable UR Quattro. You'd have to be a proper MKII geek and wrist exercise over pictures in PVW if that seems like a sensible price to you.
Now if this car was for sale in 10 years time then £8K would seem reasonable.

That's the trouble with buying one with that low mileage! You'd have to get it with intended use as just for shows, meets and the odd summer/weekend drive, as it would be pointless getting as daily-driver, as like said the value would plummet and it would end up as just another mark 2 GTI. Have only seen really low mileage 8V mark2 GTI's Be nice to see some 16V's, but they would fetch even more pennies!
-
this will go for £4k+ easily it is at over £2k+ now with 8 days to go these cars are getting rare now and will only go up in price
i paid £2.5k for a mint bright blue one recently with 88k on the clock but i knew the car as i owned it 7.5 years ago and i think it is worth every penny, same as this one i would pay £4k+ for this if i hadn't got my one
-
i reckon this car wil be between five and six thousand pounds, its at two and half already, and its got to be worth it, low mileage proper mk2s are the best cars i have ever owned and driven and bearing in mind i sell cars for a living i have had a few cars! seriously i would sooner have a mk2 than any other golf, even over a mitsi evo its just such an awesome machine if its a good un

This really tempts me to sell up on my 46k 1.8 Driver - It's damn good condition, not a minter but getting some touch-ups to the paint to sort it out :)
Problem is, with it being a 1.8 Driver rather than a gti would there still be alot of interest? How much do people reckon I'd get?

Although it has a stainless system on at the moment, I have the original VW system sat in the garage :) It's also getting a weber stuck on by a VW specialist next week as I'm having some idling problems with the PB but I'll be keeping the PB stored and sell it with the car if I did.
-
I was going to say not much as its a driver but having seen the pics that's a really nice car! I'm gonna go with £1500 to £2000...
For the ebay one I'd guess at 4.5k, if you're an investor you keep it ten years and sell it, if you've got some savings and you're yearning to live out a boyhood fantasy you buy it and drive it like it's 1992!
-
thats a lovely driver m8 though i t :grin:hink you should have not used the landscape setting sideways on the camera
-
dont like the colour ... and the seats look like my mk3 one but faded to hell
-

Thanks :D
What landscape setting? hehe, it's an SLR :)
Really need to find some better shoot locations in Durham though! Although I do like my pretty sky/fields :D
-
thats lovely - seen a few low mile 8v's but no low mile 16v's..wounder why that is?
-
£2800 and rising
-
I reckon its gonna go for between £4200 - £4700 ish, cracking car but if I had that I'd never want to drive it or leave it anywhere which sort of spoils the point of having it realy :undecided:
-
currently @ £3750 with 2 hours to go
-
nice i was well out with the final price £4350

Compare the Capri to this one - 41k 5door  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MK2-GOLF-GTI-41K-MILES_W0QQitemZ320220867889QQihZ011QQcategoryZ9873QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
-
Looks like another £3.5 - £4K one there then, just goes to show that if your preppared to stump up the loot these cars are still out there !
-
yeah i see this one when it was at £305 nice motor
-
Looks like a hell of a buy for that money

The thing with that is that it's simply not as desirable. Small bumpers and a 5 door. Went for about the right money a I'd say.
-
The car is back on ebay! Seems the guy who won it has to now get rid. What a waste adding another name to the registration.
-
is it just me that doesnt get it
GTI - The clue is right there , used and abused its how they should be
-
I noticed that it was back on last nite, bit of a shame really, extra name on log book etc...
