hi again guys lol...right, problem is when i try to start my golf it will not start unless i have my foot on the accelerator, so when i remove my foot it dies, the engine only stays on if my foot is on the accelerator (which might be tricky while slowing down lol)...what could the problem be?? ive got a part number for a relay that im gonna get but not sure if it will cure it...gonna clean the inlet this weekend so will see what happens after that...could this be the hall sensor playing up?? also, while it is running it runs smooth and revs up ok but will not stay alive :(
thanks

check the breathers are all ok and change the temp sensor..my old 1.8 and the vento 1.8 both had these issues and both needed breathers and temp sensors around the same time!!

Whats a TB?
throttle body... worth cleaning every so often and the get full of crap and stops the butterfly from fully closing (causing idle issues) or they stop it opening freely (causing acceleration problems)
