Post by: monzablue16v on 11 February 2008, 23:31
Hi all,

Looking at some coilies for the truck (mk2 16v Golf) not sure which ones to go for. I'm not going to spend a fortune looking around the £250 mark really.

got these 3 on the bay any other suggestions?

sorry for got to say if you notice you ones youve picked all have two different spring sizes which i was recommended to avoid. the ones above are just a single spring which imo makes for a smoother ride

I fitted the Hottuning ones to my mk2 16v last week and they are a very good piece of kit for the money imho, although I would recommend reusing the original nuts holding the top mounts on. Handling is far better :)

Hi,

To be honest we rate our kits slightly above the quality of the Hottuning units. Ours are a european made unit as opposed to a far east based product. Our warranty is held in house, so should the worse occur we are equiped enough to deal with the problem. You will note the alloy adjusters on our units are silver as oppsoed to anodised blue.

I hope this helps. We are trying to delvier a quality product and great service at an affordable price. We are about to unveil a new program of suspension that is far superior to the current UK market place. News will follow soon.

I have a similar amount to spend on suspension soon.
Will these kits offer improvements over standard GTi handling? More or less so to a similarly priced shock and spring set up?
I really want a set of coilovers but can't stretch to the higher end ones

Not too bothered about ride comfort cos I'm 'ard  :lipsrsealed:
