Title: Problem with power hood
Post by: tezz1 on 11 February 2008, 19:41: Anybody else had one like this? Used the hood cover for the first time since buying my '96 Cabrio AG in December....now it won't shut or open on switch. According to the handbook, the power is disabled when the cover is in place. Tried all sorts, cleaning contacts etc but not a bleep from the hood motor!!

Any ideas please? :

I think the cover has sensors on it because the electronics detect when it's on and don't allow raising of hood. It's always worked fine until I used the cover for the first time Sunday.....

I dont think so... NOt in mine anyways.

Post by: tezz1 on 18 February 2008, 12:44: OK finally cracked it....connected the hood pump direct to the battery which re-booted the system...now works perfectly! sigh of relief....
