Hi Guys,
I am Looking to get a new front bumper for the valver:
Mine is not too bad but need to replace parts 1 and 3!
Part 2 on the car is fine and doesnt need touching..

Reading here suggests the GSF ones are cack so I am going to the dealers.
I assume you can buy these parts separately?
If someone could kindly shed some light (or even etka numbers) that would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
G

Parts 1 and 2 are a single piece I think unfortunately. Splitter being seperate.
-
Part1: I just rang VW and the dude is quite sure the part 1 is absolete!?
Splitter is 70 quid!
Does this mean I would have to buy the whole bumper as one?
-
Why do you need to replace it? Is it damaged or just faded, because you can fix that
-
i got a bumper from euro car parts, fitted perfect, looks mint. splitter was dirt cheap too, was a bit tight, and took some banging with a rubber mallet to get it on, but looks fine now its on.
parts 1 and 2 are deffo one peice. sorry dude.
some shoe polish will bring it black on part 1...
-
Nah its been kiwi polished and lin seed oiled lol thats not the prob
It has a dent and massive scratches on the right hand side, prev owner mustve hit something!
Deffo need a new one!
-
Thanks,
Crap about parts 1 and 2 being one piece
Does the euro car parts bumpers come with the color coded bit i.e oak green in my case?

No its all unpainted plastic. Should be a cheap job though at a body shop (I'm hoping anyway as I've yet to paint mine!!).
I'm defo going to get some spray on waxoil or something to coat the bumper irons though as they look pretty rust-prone.

Man thats put me in a sad state, Bummer!
Unless by some miracle some one is breaking an oak green valver with a mint bumper
-
It was about £50 to get mine painted iirc.
-
Thanks for all the input,
I definitely need this in the next month!
I will keep an eye out for the part..
Any suggestions on where to get the best quality one is welcome
From what I gather so far GSF ones are a crappy fit and Euro car part ones are decent!

Mine was from ECP and the fit is "okay". The only place it lets itself down on is the join to the wings which has left about a one inch gap.
-
got mine from euro car parts and it fits perfect tbh. onlt place its a let down is like i said b4, the splitter bit at the bottom was really really tight and took some getting the splitter to fit, but i did buy a new splitter so that might have been the problemo...

Thanks a friend of mine might have located one from a dealer!
I will look into this, or the ECP one might have to do!
