argg...

here's the catalogue of events so far...

last saturday - the black wire from the positive on the battery and goes right to the solenoid furred up and was non conductive.

this sunday - car died while i was out driving. after much worrying turned out to be the ignition coil.

today went to pick it up, and ermm.. it wouldnt start.. i saw them driving it too!.. this time its the starter. they were as shocked as me. we started it a few times by bumping it, but it wouldnt on its own. so they're fitting a new one tomorrow.

i'm guessing its been a cascade type thing when one weak part tires others..

three strikes, and the problem should be over.. (and out...)

ohh and they didn't clean the throttle body in the end :(

kept asking why i wanted it done.. and looked at me strange.

if anything out of all of this i've learned how to check the startup issues :)
